Openned

In April 2008, the above image was sent out to the Openned mailing list. It was a call for questions for an interview with Allen Fisher. The interview took place a few weeks afterwards in the Cornerhouse arts venue in Manchester, UK. We had originally intended for the interview to form part of a new publication, but Allen’s generosity and depth of thought led to a standalone project. Here we collect together four video extracts from the two and a half hour filmed interview, alongside clips of Allen reading that day at various locations in Manchester, and a combined transcript of the four extracts containing some additional material not featured in the videos. Allen was interviewed by Steve Willey and Alex Davies. The interview was recorded by Gemma Tomlinson. Our deepest thanks to Allen for his time.
