Peter Philpott, of Great Works fame, has recently been branching out. First there's Sundays at the Oto, a new London reading series with high calibre readers. So far Tim Atkins, Jow Lindsay, Sophie Robinson and Hannah Silva are scheduled to read up until Christmas. Awesome stuff. Just as important is a new offshoot site from Great Works, simply called modernpoetry. It is by a long way the best introduction to contemporary poetry, particularly in and around London, that I have seen online. You can keep track of his myriad projects by RSS feeding off his blog, You Must Write As If Your Life Depended On It.
